Getting started

High Camp has high-elevation learning areas. The map lets you filter for beginner runs.

Building your skills

Both mountains have intermediate terrain. Choose a sector and check the return connections before venturing far from your base.

For experts

In the bowls and advanced sectors, choose your line according to your ability and what is open that day.

A good way to organize your first day

Start on one mountain. Beginners can plan their day around ski school and High Camp’s learning terrain; those progressing should choose groomed runs on the map before seeking out bowls.

ANSWERS FOR PLANNING

Questions about Palisades Tahoe

Do I need to drive between Palisades and Alpine?

Base to Base Gondola links the two mountains when operating. Check its hours and plan your return before moving far from your starting base.

Which base should I give the transfer company for a lesson?

The one listed in your booking. Palisades and Alpine have different addresses; arriving at the other base can complicate your start.

Can someone who does not ski come with me?

Check the Aerial Tram sightseeing product and High Camp activities; do not assume a ski pass is the right ticket.
