Park City

A very large ski area with two main bases: Park City Mountain Village and Canyons Village. Choosing an initial area avoids spending your first hours making connections.

Beginners

High Meadow Park, above Red Pine Gondola in Canyons, is a dedicated learning area. Confirm your lesson’s base and access arrangements.

Intermediates

King Con and McConkey’s provide access to runs highlighted by the resort, such as Georgianna and High Card; check their ratings on the map.

Advanced

Jupiter has a concentration of demanding terrain. A lesson or guided session helps you choose suitable runs among areas with very different levels of difficulty.

Moving between areas

Check the map and connecting lifts before switching sides of the mountain. Allow time to return to the base where you left your equipment or transport.

Season and conditions

Check the season dates and daily report: high-mountain terrain opens according to snow, wind and mountain operations.

A good way to organize your first day

In Canyons, High Meadow Park, accessed via Red Pine Gondola, is geared towards learning. Intermediates can explore runs around King Con using the map. Jupiter is for those confident on advanced terrain.

YOUR MOUNTAIN BASE

Where to stay

Mountain Village and Canyons Village offer different ways into the ski area. Choose according to proximity to school and the sector you will use most; being in Park City does not mean you are beside the right lift.

Park City Mountain Village

For a stay on the Park City side; check each property’s location in relation to the lifts and transport.

Canyons Village

Worth considering if your priority is High Meadow and access via Red Pine. Book services and accommodation at the same base to simplify your morning.

Compare the cost of your entire stay

Include all nights and rooms, taxes, parking, transfers, and cancellation. For families, provide children’s ages; a rate for two adults is not a budget for the whole group.

ANSWERS FOR PLANNING

Questions about Park City

Is High Meadow Park next to the parking lot?

It is up the mountain, accessed via Red Pine Gondola. Allow time for the ascent and follow the school’s meeting instructions.

Should we explore both bases on the first day?

For a first visit, it is simpler to get to know one sector and its return route. You can expand to the other once you know the connections.

Are Mountain Village and Canyons interchangeable for transfers?

No. Confirm the full name in your bookings: arriving at the wrong base adds a journey before skiing.
